Former Béziers scrum-half Pierre Danos, international in the 1950s, died overnight from Sunday to Monday at the age of 93, the Hérault club announced on Monday.

Winner of the 5 nations tournament with the XV of France in 1959, he was also the captain of Béziers during their first Brennus shield in 1961.

Three Five Nations Tournaments

Before wearing the colors of Béziers for ten years, Danos had played in Albi (1949-1950) and Toulon (1950-1955).

He was also international eighteen times between 1954 and 1960, playing in three Five Nations Tournaments, including the 1959 and 1960 editions, won by Les Bleus.
