Already in the first, Årsjö showed why she left the Paralympics with three medals.

The 21-year-old went down just over four seconds faster than anyone else in her class.

The second run was also a show and Årsjö's margin of victory was 8.35 seconds to the German Andrea Rothfuss, who was the second fastest of the total six riders.

The victory is a step on the way to Årsjö's next big goal: overall victory in the World Cup.

- It is a huge goal that I have and something that I value very highly.

It's more than being the best just for one day, it applies for an entire season, which I'm betting on, Årsjö told TT.

If she is to succeed in that, however, some victories are required, because she has announced that there will be no investment in downhill this season, to avoid pain in the leg.

The WC in the alpine branches of the para sport will be decided in Espot, Spain in January.
