The tennis player from Serbia in the final match defeated the Norwegian Kasper Ruud in two sets with a score of 7:5, 6:3. 

Thus, the 35-year-old Djokovic won the ATP Finals trophy for the sixth time in his career and repeated the record of the former world No. 1 Swiss Roger Federer.

The previous record was held by Ashleigh Barty of Australia, who received over $4.4 million for winning the 2019 Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Finals.

Earlier, Djokovic shared his emotions from the game with Russian Daniil Medvedev in the final match of the group stage of the ATP Final Tournament.
