It was clear early on that William Poromaa and Calle Halfvarsson would settle for the victory in the 15 km freestyle.
Despite fine riding from Poromaa, there was never any talk, Halfvarsson led from start to finish, and won by 10.3 seconds.

16-year-old Alvar Myhlback, who came third in the sprint on Friday, also had a good race and finished seventh.
