Janne Andersson held a press conference in Malmö on Friday ahead of the international training match against Algeria on Saturday.

Then he was asked what he thinks about the beer ban in the stadiums during the World Cup.

- It is clear that you should be able to have a beer if you are going to see a football match, says the national team captain.

- It must not appear as... yes, I like beer, I admit it.

But that is not the most important thing.

If you're going to watch a World Cup final where you can't have a beer - that's completely incomprehensible to me.

The WC Manager: available in specific zones

Fifa confirmed the ban on beer and alcohol in the stadiums in a statement on Friday.

When Qatar first applied for the World Cup, it promised to respect Fifa's commercial partners.

- To put it simply: We have always said that the sale of alcohol is allowed here in Qatar.

We also said that during the World Cup we will make it available in specific zones for fans, World Cup director Nasser al-Khater said in September.

Replaced by non-alcoholic beer

He added that there was a misunderstanding regarding the sale of alcohol in the arenas.

- We work like before any other World Cup where this is something typical and common, and it is no different from any other World Cup.

Non-alcoholic beer will be available to fans at the venues.
