Edvin Anger, who had the second fastest time in the morning's qualifying, fell and broke his pole directly in the first semi-final.

In the same race, it was the Olympic sprinter Anton Persson who won just ahead of Oskar Svensson, Calle Halfvarsson and Emil Persson.

In the second semi-final, the 16-year-old sensation Alvar Myhlback advanced together with William Poromaa.

So it was a hard-fought final.

Even though Calle Halfvarsson had to fight his way through the heats where he advanced on time from both the quarter-finals and the semi-finals, it was the 33-year-old who was the strongest in the final.

With some strong strikes, he got a gap to Oskar Svensson on the downhill to the rally and he held that gap to the finish.

- It feels good, I didn't think this after the struggle in both the quarter and semi.

But it ended happily, says Calle Halfvarsson.

What made you win?

- I felt strong and stable today.

When I advanced by half a pole in the semis, I felt that I could go quite far in the finals.

In the race, Alvar Myhlback was also able to overtake Anton Persson and take third place.
