Professional baseball Nippon-Ham has negotiated with catcher Fushimi Toratake, who has exercised the right of domestic FA = free agent from Orix, and has reached a general agreement, according to an interview with a team official.

32-year-old Fushimi joined Orix in 2013 from Tokai University in 3rd place in the draft.



He shows a skillful lead as a catcher and has a strong batting characteristic at bat.



Interviews with team officials revealed that Nippon-Ham had negotiated with Fushimi and had reached a general agreement.



In his 10th year as a professional, Fushimi marked a batting average of 20%, 2 minutes and 9 minutes, 3 home runs, and 21 RBIs in 76 games played this season.



Fushimi is scheduled to formally sign a contract with Nippon-Ham and join the team.
