The Executive Director of the Communication and Media Department of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, Fatima Al-Nuaimi, confirmed that the achievements made on the way to preparing to host the 2022 World Cup Qatar were the most informed response to the criticisms faced by the work teams throughout a continuous journey over more than 12 years, to organize the first edition of the World Cup. in the Arab world.

Al-Naimi said, "We were subjected to many media attacks, which we were not affected by and did not affect our seriousness in our work, and we responded to every criticism with a new achievement in the journey of preparing for the World Cup, such as announcing the readiness of stadiums and tournament facilities, or hosting tournaments to improve operations, and to continue our work on To the fullest, in order to host an exceptional version of the World Cup in Qatar.”

Al-Naimi explained that hosting the World Cup is an ideal opportunity to change stereotypes about Qatar and the region, stressing that the journey to prepare for the tournament took many years, and it is natural for the team to face many challenges.

She indicated that this is the first tournament of this size in the region, and most of the challenges were new of their kind, adding: "We succeeded in overcoming all challenges, even those that surprised us and were not taken into account, such as the Covid-19 pandemic, as preparing alternative plans helped us complete all the challenges. Our projects are within the established timelines.
