A few days after her victory at the WTA Masters in Texas, Caroline Garcia is back in France for the Billie Jean King Cup which is being held this Friday and Saturday.

Against the Netherlands, the 4th tenniswoman in the world will have to perform, despite her fatigue.

"I will try to bring all the positive energy I have from this victory at the Masters," the player told Europe 1.

She too intends to ride the wave.

French tenniswoman Caroline Garcia enters the running this Friday at the Billie Jean King Cup, the former Fed Cup at Le Portel, in Pas-de-Calais.

So, to be up to the task against the Netherlands, the player is already training.

Under the eyes of Roger and Louise, supporters and volunteers of the organization of the tournament, the tenniswoman chained her first racquet shots since triumphing at the Masters.

"It's gonna be fun"

"The fourth in the world on the Portel course, you don't see that every day", jokes Roger.

For Louise, no doubt, "there will be atmosphere, especially since there is the possibility of being able to accommodate a lot of people. Up to 3,500 spectators can move here, so it will be nice".

Barely crowned, Caroline Garcia does not have time to savor her victory.

The player had to return quickly from the United States to immerse herself in her training before the meeting against the Netherlands.

With tennis, we are often used to having to digest things fairly quickly", she explains at the microphone of Europe 1. "This meeting is the last competition of the season and I will try to bring all the positive energy I have from this victory at the Master", continues Caroline Garcia.

Compensate for accumulated fatigue

Despite the jet lag and fatigue, the 4th world inaugurated this new competition.

"To have Caroline in our team is a huge bonus," says Julien Benneteau, captain of the France team.

"The morale and the head are very very well because she is full of confidence and full of euphoria, which is normal after this achievement. We think it can compensate for the physical fatigue that has accumulated", explains- he.

But at Portel, the stakes will be high for the French women: to stay in the world elite of women's tennis.
