The 35-year-old Australian has long been a world leader, winning the 2012 World Championship gold.

Now he is ready for another season in the Swedish Speedway league, as he was presented today as a new acquisition in Västervik.

- Bringing Chris into the team suits us very well and he has an excellent season behind him.

Unfortunately, the season came to an abrupt end already on August 20 when he was involved in an accident during the GP Challenge final in Glasgow when he was about to secure a Grand Prix place for 2023, says Morgan Andersson on Västervik's website, and continues:

- With Chris, we get a team manager of rank with a good personality and a lot of experience.

“Very professional”

Holder will still drive for Leszno in the Polish league next season, and says he is looking forward to a season in Västervik.

- I am really looking forward to being part of Västervik 2023, which has one of Sweden's best racing tracks.

Västervik is a very professional club with a solid winning mentality.

The team next season is strong with many good drivers and I am very excited to be part of the squad, he says, adding:

- Everything is there to be part of and threaten for the title in the Bauhaus league and I am really looking forward to representing Västervik in 2023.
