German Lukas Podolski, striker of the Polish club Gornik Zabze, grabbed the spotlight by scoring an impressive goal for his team from a distance.

Gornick Zabze returned from the field of its host Bogon Szczecin with a great victory 4-1, in the match that was held on the fifth of November in the 16th round of the Polish Football Premier League.

Podolski, 37, confirmed that he can still do more in the world of football, despite being away from the limelight and from the five major leagues, since his departure from Arsenal in July 2015.

Podolski scores from 60 metres

The former German international scored a historic goal when he fired a surprise ball from about 60 meters away, which landed in the net of the Bogon Szczecin team in the 73rd minute, and caught the end of the Gornik Zabje quartet.

The ball reached Podolsky after one of his teammates managed to clear it from the opposing team, and after one step, the German goalkeeper Bogon Szcstein hinted ahead, sending a long-range ball, which was stopped only by the net.
