Henrik Lundqvist has won more games in the NHL than any other goaltender born in Europe, and he set over 50 club records for the New York Rangers.

Many consider him to be Sweden's best hockey goaltender to date.

The end of the career faster than it was intended, and was dramatic.

The New York Rangers bought out Henrik Lundqvist from the final year of his seven-year contract.

He then, after much hesitation, signed for the Washington Capitals.

"It's been a tough year"

But there were never any games with Washington, Henrik Lundqvist became acutely ill and went through a major and difficult heart operation.

- It was shocking, it was a major operation, it has been a difficult year, says Henrik Lundqvist's mother Eva Johansson.

On Thursday, November 10, the documentary "Henrik Lundqvist – a hockey saga" premieres on SVT.
