Hellvig and Åhman continue to impress.

In this week's star-studded world tour competition in Cape Town, the Swedish beach volleyball talents picked up several meritorious wins.

In the quarter-finals the Dutch world number two Brouwer/Meeuwsen were defeated and in the semis they defeated last year's world number one, the Qatari duo Cherif/Ahmed.

Sunday's final against the Norwegian world number 1s Anders Mol and Christian Sörum, whom they beat in the EC final earlier this year, was raucous, but in the end the Norwegians managed to squeeze out victory in two straight sets, 21–19 and 21–19.

- It is very small margins that decide today.

Our serve reception and attack on the second ball is superb.

But we have a hard time stopping Christian Sörum's serve reception attack, even though we were close a lot of times.

We stand for a good performance and there is only two points per set against the reigning Olympic and world champions, says Swedish coach Rasmus Jonsson to SVT Sport.

The duo have steadily climbed the world rankings over the year and are currently in twelfth place, but then the points from this week's success in South Africa have not been included.
