The 25-year-old Finn almost doubled his season's goal tally with a hat-trick to seven in total.

In addition, he was noted for an assist.

- That was not easy.

We scored early and gained confidence, he says.

Ninth goal by Olofsson

Swedish-dense Buffalo offered some resistance.

Victor Olofsson scored the ninth goal of the season, which only six players in Buffalo had managed before during the opening eleven games.

Rasmus Dahlin was involved in a fight in the first period against Jesperi Kotkaniemi, where the Swede received a slap in the face.

Dahlin responded by shooting at goal and blocking several shots himself.

- You will only awaken the winner's skull in him.

We wanted him to find some calm afterwards of course, but he just woke up, says coach Don Granato at a press conference after the game.

Already 15 points from Dahlin

Dahlin plays running back, but has become one of Buffalo's most important cogs in the offense.

The 22-year-old is already up to 15 points, including a goal against Carolina in literally the last second.

- We ask a lot from him of course, with three big key people back there away (Jeremy Davies, Vinnie Hinostroza and Ilya Ljubushkin).

But he loves the challenge and it pushes him to get better and better, so I'm impressed, says Granato.
