Linn Grant has had an incredibly impressive 2022. Before the year she had not won any competition on the European Tour, but this year she has won no less than four such competitions.

In addition, she won three competitions on the South African Sunshine Ladies Tour during the spring.

Now she has taken the step over to the LPGA tour, and impresses there as well.

At the Japan Classic in Shiga, Japan, 23-year-old Grant had an impressive third round where she was recorded for no less than eight birdies – including five in a row between holes 12 and 16.

Ten strokes under par in total

However, there were also three bogies, making it five under par in total on the round.

- The last nine holes I raised myself.

It was a rough first nine, but I'll take the last nine with me and try to do something similar, Grant said in the official TV interview after the round.

In total, Grant is ten strokes under par heading into the final round, which leaves her tied four - four strokes behind leading home player Momoko Ueda.

Grant's best finish to date on the LPGA tour came in August, when she finished just tied for fourth at an event in Northern Ireland.

That competition was also part of the European Tour.
