  • The XV of France can sign an eleventh victory in a row this Saturday evening (9 p.m.) against Australia.

Fabien Galthié's team would then break a record that dates back to the 1930s.

  • Double world champions (1991 and 1995), the Wallabies are no longer as formidable as they were in the past and seem within reach of the French.

  • At 10 months from the start of the World Cup, this meeting will necessarily be scrutinized very closely, a week before the shock against South Africa in Marseille.

9 a.m.: Hello to Damian Penaud's fan club

OK, there was the Japan tour this summer, with a number of stunt doubles doing the job.

But the great XV of France, "the premium team" as Fabien Galthié calls it, has not been seen since March 19 of glorious memory, during the Grand Slam ratified at the Stade de France against England (25 -13).

Seven and a half months later, Antoine Dupont and his troupe find (Montjoie) Saint-Denis

to kick the Australian out of our beautiful territory

and, incidentally, win an eleventh time in a row.

It would be

an absolute record for the Blues

, which would relegate the successful performance in the 1930s to oblivion. A week before the shock against the Springboks in Marseille, and 10 months before the start of the World Cup at home , the Habs would send a new warning to an oval planet that has learned to look at them with awe and respect.

Because we really want to know what a Wallaby tastes like, we meet around 8:30 p.m.
