'Figure skating general' Kim Ye-rim won the silver medal at the Senior Grand Prix for the first time in her life.

Yerim Kim received 125.83 points in the women's single free skating in the third round of the ISU Senior Grand Prix held in Angers, France, with a total of 194.76 points, placing 2nd out of 12 contestants.

This is the first time Yerim Kim has made her podium in her major, her Senior Grand Prix.

In addition, it is the first time since the retirement of 'figure skating queen' Kim Yuna that a Korean female single athlete achieved a score of 2nd or higher in the Senior Grand Prix.

In this season's Grand Prix competition, Korean players have more chances to win as Russian players, a figure skating powerhouse, lost their spots due to disciplinary action following the invasion of Ukraine.

After earning 13 points from the Senior Grand Prix, Kim Ye-rim aims to advance to the Senior Grand Prix Final, which will be her crown jewel, through the 5th tournament to be held in Sapporo, Japan at the end of this month.

She started her acting in line with the OST of the movie 'Summer of 42'. Kim Ye-rim, who was trying her first task, a triple lutz-triple toe loop continuous jump, fell during the triple lutz landing process and received a deductible.

After that, she cleaned the double axel, triple loop and triple flip jump in succession, and continued her performance smoothly.

In the second half of her performance, Kim Ye-rim, who performed her jump smoothly, made the mistake of falling again while running her triple skin, and after finishing her performance, she wrapped her head around her head as if regretfully.

She laughed and rejoiced when she finished in third place, however, and scored 0.42 points ahead of Japan's Sumiyoshi Rion.

Belgium's Luna Hendrix, who was the last runner, took the gold medal with a score of 216.34.

Lee Hae-in, who participated with Kim Ye-rim, finished fourth with a total of 193.49 points, and unfortunately did not win a medal.
