- It will be too early for me.

I have hopes of participating in the World Cup premiere in Kontiolathti at the end of the month, says Röiseland to Norwegian VG.

Röiseland has had problems ever since she contracted shingles last summer and missed two months of training.

This week she has started testing a slightly higher speed in training.

- If it had been last summer, I wouldn't have called it a speed pass, but that's where I am right now.

It was just to feel some kind of intensity, says Röiseland, who won three golds and two bronzes at the Olympics in Beijing last winter.

Eckhoff will make a decision later this week

Tirill Eckhoff, with two Olympic golds and nine World Cup golds on his track record, has also had problems during the pre-season.

She has struggled with sleep problems and has had long-term problems after a covid infection in March.

- Tiril's participation will be clarified by the week.

Tiril makes that decision in consultation with the coaches and the health team.

Things have been going well for Tiril lately.

The body has responded well, says national team manager Per Arne Botnan.
