The injured 2018 world champion has withdrawn from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, his lawyer and agent Rafaela Pimenta announced in a statement sent to AFP on Monday.
“After medical examinations [Sunday] and [Monday], it is extremely painful to inform that Paul Pogba will still need rehabilitation after his operation (of a knee at the beginning of September).
For this reason, Paul will not be able to join the France team in Qatar,” Rafaela Pimenta said in a statement.
