Manchester City closes in on Arsenal at the top of the table in the English Premier League.

Arsenal were chasing their fifth straight win and also took the lead after eleven minutes when Ben White found Granit Xhaka who fired in 1-0 on the half volley.

It was also the London team that created the most scoring chances, but suddenly the home team Southampton equalised.

Mohamed Elyounoussi found Stuart Armstrong in a neat way.

Arsenal continued to create chances and they thought they had scored when Norwegian Martin Ödegaard fired the ball in, but it then turned out that the ball had crossed the line.

The loss of points means that Arsenal's lead is now only two points.
