Amar and Ilias, two young rising stars of e-sport, will represent Paris Saint-Germain at the EA Sports Cup.

Before their entry into the competition, this Monday in London, the two young Parisians, supported with an iron fist by the club of the capital, aim to impose themselves on the international scene.

They are now inseparable when it comes to playing FIFA.

Ilias, 20, and Amar, 22, professional esports players and teammates at Paris Saint-Germain, are the rising stars of the discipline.

Like a pair of doubles in tennis, their complementarity and cohesion point to a bright future for the two Ile-de-France residents.

Amar Abdoulfatah Mohamed, alias "Amarr" and Ilias El Rhazzaz, alias "Nkantee", are preparing to participate in the EA Sports Cup, starting this Monday in London, one of the most prestigious world competitions in video game football Fifa.

The only French duo selected to compete there, they have multiplied the hours of training on the FIFA 2023 game.

full-fledged athletes

Amar and Ilias embody this new connected generation, no longer making video games a hobby but a real passion or even a "job".

Although still a student, Amar intends to make e-sport his professional future.

Quickly spotted by the PSG e-sport club, they are now the stars.

Within the club, e-sport players are considered as athletes in their own right.

Trained by Jonathan Khalfa, a Parisian accountant and entrepreneur passionate about gaming, the French duo are training hard to make a name for themselves on the international scene.

The coach gives them a healthy training framework such as the optimization of working time, and helps them to have a healthy lifestyle (nutrition and sleep management).

A framework wanted by the PSG which sees, through e-sport, a promising future in French sport.

PSG bets on e-sport

Created in 2016, the e-sport section of PSG continues to grow.

The Ile-de-France club gives it a central place for reasons of both marketing and visibility on the international scene.

Other video games are also practiced there such as DOTA2, a fighting game.

Moreover, PSG is one of the favorites of The International tournament, the biggest tournament of the year on DOTA 2, which takes place until October 30 in Singapore.

A luxury frame therefore for Ilias and Amar who hope to perform this Monday in London.

In the event of a good result, the two nuggets of PSG will be able to give themselves hope for the return matches which will take place next November.

In a raised group, their objective is clear, to get out of it.

They would then offer themselves a qualifying place for the playoffs, next January.

But it is above all their names that they would make shine on the international scene.
