Chairman Bach expressed great interest in promoting the bid for the 2036 Seoul Olympics, and cited the experience of successfully hosting the 1988 Seoul Olympics and the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics and the passion of Koreans as strengths.

[Thomas Bass/IOC Chairman: I think Korea has very good conditions to host the Olympics again.] He

also advised that we should hurry as more than 10 cities have already entered the bid battle.

[Thomas Bass/IOC Chairman: The race has already started, so it is better not to wait too long.

We need to jump into the race early and publicize the strengths of Seoul widely.] The

possibility of additional sanctions is also open to North Korea, where the IOC disciplinary action ends at the end of this year.

If a North Korean athlete who is eligible to participate in the 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games does not participate, he has indicated that he will be disqualified from participating in the Paris Olympics.

[Thomas Bass / IOC Chairman: If you boycott the Gangwon Winter Youth Olympics for political reasons, you will almost certainly receive another sanction.]

Also, despite the IOC's recommendation, he criticized the International Boxing Association, which was sponsored by a large Russian company, and expelled boxing from the LA Olympics. He said he would discuss it in depth.
