On Wednesday, Holger Rune plays his second match in the Stockholm Open.

He won his first in front of the Swedish audience on the main court in the Royal Tennis Hall on Monday.

Now the 27-ranked Dane faces Cristian Garin, ranked 89, from Chile.

However, that match is not played on the center court, but on an adjacent field where the audience is smaller and the television production is more pared down.

A message that makes Rune disappointed.

- I am very surprised that I will be playing on a course without good television opportunities and audiences, because we chose this tournament in Stockholm to have the opportunity to be seen in Scandinavia, he says to Danish TV2.

"Don't see it the same way"

His mother and manager Aneke Rune wish the organizer had moved the match to Thursday.

- We felt it was important to support the Scandinavian tournaments, but when the tournament does not see it the same way, it is of course included in our planning for next year, she also says.

Thomas Enqvist is the tournament director at the Stockholm Open.

He says that the tough competition in the starting field meant that they chose not to put Rune's match on center court.

- With players like Cameron Norrie, Denis Shapovalov, Stefanos Tsitsipas and our Swedish player Elias Ymer, there were no opportunities to play more matches on center court today.

I think Holger has a good chance of winning after the fine form he showed in the first round on Monday and if he wins we look forward to seeing him on center court on Friday, he tells SVT Sport.
