From March 2023, over-18s will be able to register online to become one of the 45,000 “faces of the Games”.
To be a volunteer at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, you will have to apply on the open portal for a period of six weeks.

Being 18 years old, regardless of nationality, speaking French and/or English and having at least ten days of availability, these are the conditions required to apply for the recruitment of the 45,0000 volunteers for Paris 2024. Exception to the rule, some minors may be volunteers , like table tennis ball boys, provided they have been pre-identified by their federation.
Between 120,000 and 160,000 applications expected
Moreover, some sports federations have already started to pre-select candidates, who will then participate in the selection.
Thirty thousand volunteers will be assigned to the Olympic Games, 15,000 to the Paralympic Games.

," said Alexandre Morenon-Condé, Deputy Director in charge of volunteers.
In general, the Games attract approximately between 120,000 and 160,000 volunteer applications.
People who have applied will be determined in the fall to find out if their application has been accepted.
All volunteers will benefit from legal protection in the event of an accident.
Their activity, their status and their rights will be defined by “a volunteering charter”, which details their missions but also the tasks that will not be their responsibility, in particular those relating to safety or health.
The charter prohibits tasks "
related to the manipulation of valuables
(for example money or a handbag),
involving important responsibilities, related to security or presenting a painful nature, a risk of exposure to a situation potentially sensitive, or dangerous, requiring the wearing of a particular protection device for physical integrity
(such as a hard hat)”.
The charter also provides for the maximum working time (10 hours per day and 48 hours per week) and specifies that volunteers cannot wear their uniform outside of their mission.
Volunteers will benefit from one meal a day and their local transport costs will be covered, said Alexandre Morenon-Condé.
On the other hand, the accommodation costs will be at their expense.
For its part, Paris, the host city, will recruit 5,000 volunteers, also specified the program manager, Julien Combret, who will be added to the 45,000 selected by the organizing committee (Cojo).
