The match between Borussia Dortmund and its host Union Berlin - the leaders of the German Football League - witnessed on Sunday, one of the strangest goals in football history, and it may be the strangest in the Bundesliga.

And social media platforms circulated a video clip of the goal scored by Union striker Janick Haberer, after a naive mistake from Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kopel, which caused his team to receive the first goal in the eighth minute of the match.

The mistake came after a ball returned by Dortmund's defense to the goalkeeper, who tried to deflect it away from his goal, but he slipped to the ground without being touched, and the ball hit him and was perfectly prepared in front of the empty goal of German striker Haberer, who invested this mistake and hit the ball into the net.
