Son Heung-min, who scored two goals against Frankfurt yesterday (13th), was selected as the Champions League player of the week announced by the European Football Federation, beating out three competitors including Liverpool's Firmino.

He was also named as a midfielder in the Weekly Best 11 and swept all three titles as his left-footed volley was voted Goal of the Week.

It was followed by praise from football experts.

Even when Son Heung-min was sluggish at the beginning of the season, star commentator Michael Owen, who said that he should not doubt Son's skills, raised his voice saying he was right, and

[Michael Owen / BT Sports Commentator: Son Heung-min is one of the best players in the world.

If I had to bring in just one player from Tottenham, I would choose Son Heung-min considering age, skill, everything.]

Another commentator McCoist said that Son's volley shot is the pinnacle of skill.

[Mccoist / BT Sports Commentator: Son Heung-min did not even try to kick too hard and shot a simple shot.

I hit the ball coming over his head technically too beautifully.]

Son Heung-min, who flew his wings on the top stage, is aiming for attack points in three games in a row against Everton this weekend.
