30 minutes after Mikael Lustig announced that he is retiring from football after the season, the news came that teammate Sebastian Larsson is doing the same.

The remaining five Allsvenskan matches will be the last ever for AIK's number 7.

- Football has given me so much and has been a big part of my whole life.

After a long process, I have now made the decision to end my active career after this season, says 37-year-old Larsson to AIK's website.

- Now there is full focus on the final five matches in the Allsvenskan.

I'll give it my all all the way in.

Sebastian Larsson came to AIK in the summer of 2018, after a professional career mainly in England, and clubs such as Arsenal, Birmingham and Sunderland.

In total, Larsson accounted for 26 goals in the Premier League.
