After seven rounds, table jumbo HV71 still hadn't won a single victory in regular time and the points they scraped together, a total of five, come from a victory on penalties against Malmö at the end of September and the rest from losses after extra time.

It therefore looked tough when Ludwig Larsson arranged the lead goal for Rögle, who was surprisingly second jumbo after seven rounds, with two minutes left in the first period.

- It is an even match.

A close match.

Even if it says 0–1, it is approved by us, said HV71's Emil Andrae in the period break.

The second period was goalless, but halfway into it in the third period Fredrik Forsberg would get free in front of Rögleburen after a missed pass by Tony Sund.

Forsberg made it 1–1 and the hope of the season's first full points was alive for HV71.

After that it was smooth, swingy and emotional.

Emil Andrae was close to deciding, but was stopped by Rifalk in the goal and the match went to extra time.

No full pot for either team, but there was still a big celebration in Rögle after Marco Kasper managed to decide in extra time.

HV71 thus remains at the bottom of the table, while Rögle moves up to 12th place – above the qualifying mark.
