- It was fantastic and we lead the group on ten points.

No one thought we would do it after four games.

It feels absolutely insane.

That we would lead 4-0 was not something we thought would happen, never, says Ekdal to SVT Sport.

Before the group stage, most experts believed that Gent were the best team.

- We were prepared for Gent to be a damn good team.

We execute the match perfectly, says Ekdal, who stepped off after sitting on the grass for a while.

- It took a while and I don't know how it would have gone if I had continued.

It was a precautionary measure, explains Ekdal, who reluctantly had to leave.

- These are the matches you want to play and to have to leave with a potential injury was less fun.

You are on the edge after playing many matches, things can happen in the end.

I managed to get a little nervous at 4-2 but I thought we controlled it well, says Ekdal.

Schüller hopes to play the derby against AIK

One who had to follow the match from the sidelines the entire time was Rasmus Schülller.

- It was a bit nervous watching the match from the sidelines, but when we led 4-0 at the beginning, I was already surprised when it was 3-0, by the second half it felt clear.

It was also clear in the end even though they scored two goals.

It was never a question of who would win the match, says the Finnish national team member who suffered a thigh injury against Häcken on Sunday.

- It is gratifying that so many players deliver at such a high level, says Schüller, who hopes to be back against AIK in the derby on Sunday.

Ex-elfsburger in Gent's team

In Ghent, former Elfsborg player Joseph Okumu was back on Swedish soil.

- This was not at all what we expected.

They were clinical and scored on their chances.

If we had mined the chances we gave them we would have had a chance.

However, we can turn this around and reach the playoffs, says Okumu who felt the fine framing even though it was far from sold out with 16822 in place.

- It was a fantastic atmosphere.

It was fun to be back but the result didn't go as I hoped, says Okumu.
