Evening of disappointments for French clubs on Thursday October 13 with the shipwrecks of Monaco and Nantes in the Europa League, the defeat of Nice in the Europa League Conference, a balance sheet slightly offset by the victory of Rennes against Dynamo kyiv (1-0), on the 4th day.

Only Stade Rennais is staying the course and supporting the rhythm of the Turkish team Fenerbahçe, which is only ahead of them on goal difference (+4 against +3) at the top of group B. The two teams will be opposed on Thursday 27 October in Turkey on the fifth day.

They are guaranteed to finish at worst in second place, qualifying for a C3/C1 jump-off.

In Krakow, where Dynamo are playing due to the war in Ukraine, the only goal of the match was scored by Christopher Wooh (48th).

In the first leg a week ago, Rennes had already won 2-1 against Dynamo who recorded their fourth defeat in a row in this C3 on Thursday.

Disaster scenario, on the other hand, at Beaujoire where nothing is going right for the team of Antoine Kombouaré, outclassed by the second in the Bundesliga.

Adrift in the championship (19th and penultimate), the canaries already dominated 2-0 a week ago in Germany, this time sank in front of their public.

Taking advantage of the largesse from the opposing defence, the Germans walked around and scored four goals through Lukas Kubler (26), Michael Gregoritsch (71), Kevin Schade (82) and Jeong Woo-yeong (87).

Nantes (3 pts) is third in its group, four lengths behind Qarabag (2nd) and nine from Friborg to whom the round of 16 are reaching out.

In the evening in Trabzon, AS Monaco, unrecognizable, was humiliated.

The opener will be a delight for video-gags: Monaco's German goalkeeper Alexander Nübel missed his kick clearance and the ball bounced off his defender Malang Sarr before entering the goal!

What followed was only going to be a long ordeal for Monaco which conceded three new goals by the Brazilian Victor Hugo with a header (48th), Enis Bardhi from a free kick (57th) and by the Egyptian Trezeguet (69th).

With six points like their opponent of the day, Monaco (3rd) can still hope to qualify, the leader Ferencvaros being only three lengths away.

For its part, AS Roma of Jose Mourinho reported a draw for Sevilla against Betis (1-1) which allows him to still believe in a possible qualification for the eighth.

Two days from the end, Betis still remains firmly in first place with ten points.

In Norway, on the ground of Bodio Glimt, Arsenal, leader of the Premier League, went to consolidate their first place by winning 1-0 thanks to a goal from Bukayo Saka (24th).

The Gunners will host PSV Eindhoven, 2nd in the group, next Thursday.

Also note the painful victory of Manchester United at home against the modest Cypriot club of Omonia with a goal by Scott McTominay in added time (90 + 3).

Manchester United are second in their group, three points behind Real Sociedad.

In the Europa League Conference, Nice thought they had the victory after Sofiane Diop (14th) opened the scoring against FC Slovacko, but the Czechs overturned the match by Michal Tomic (75th) and Petr Reinberk (87th).
