Di Maria out until early November due to injury

Juventus said today that Argentine winger Angel Di Maria will be absent until early November after suffering a hamstring injury.

Di Maria was injured during the Italian team's 2-0 defeat by Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League on Tuesday, and the 34-year-old underwent tests today.

"Angel Di Maria underwent tests this morning and revealed a slight injury to the hamstring muscle of the right leg," Juventus said in a statement.

"The player will need about 20 days for a full recovery," he added.

Di Maria is expected to be part of the Argentina squad for the World Cup in Qatar, which begins on November 20.

Argentina compete in Group C and start their campaign against Saudi Arabia on November 22, before facing Mexico and Poland.
