In the latest world rankings in tennis, which were presented today, 24-year-old Stefanos Tsitsipas climbs one position.

Now it is clear that the new world number five will play the Stockholm Open, which begins on Saturday and will be broadcast here on SVT.

- It's actually incredibly fun.

Stefanos Tsitsipas is absolutely a real world player, says tournament director Thomas Enqvist.

- He has a very strong relationship with Stockholm in that he won the title here and it was his first ATP title in his career.

So he enjoys the competition very much and is looking forward to playing in the Royal Tennis Hall again.

Last yesterday, Tsitsipas played the final against Novak Djokovic in Astana, Kazakhstan.

There was certainly a loss for the Greek, Djokovic won 6-3, 6-4, but Tsitsipas comes to Stockholm with several victories behind him.

- He is the player who has won the most ATP matches on the tour this year with a total of 53.

He has shown good form all the way and is very interesting in many ways.

He always comes in with a lot of energy, he has strong charisma on the court.

Is he the favorite to take home the title in Stockholm?

- He is of course one of the favourites, but we have such an incredibly strong starting field.

He becomes the third top three player.

We also have Taylor Fritz who won last week in Tokyo, who is ranked eighth in the world and then we have Cameron Norris who is ranked tenth in the world.

The Stockholm Open this year will not be easy to win, not even for Stefanos Tsitsipas.

But absolutely, he is one of the favorites.

The Stockholm Open is decided between October 15-23 and is broadcast here on SVT.
