Sharjah was crowned champion of the "UAE Super Cup" for handball for the fifth time in a row, yesterday, by defeating Shabab Al-Ahly by five goals, with a result (32-27), in the match that brought them together at Al-Wasl Club Hall in Dubai.

Sharjah continued its rulings on the "Super" title after a first version in which Al Jazeera won in 2016, before the "King" dominated the competition titles in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021, especially since the tournament did not play in the 2020 edition due to the "Corona pandemic".

Sharjah set a date on October 29 to compete for the title of the fifth edition of the "Emirati-Bahraini Super", which it combines with the champion of the "Bahraini Super".

After the match ended, the Assistant Secretary-General of the General Sports Authority Khaled Al Midfa, President of the Handball Federation Nabil Ashour, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Club Ali Salem Al Midfa, members of the Board of Directors of the Federation and the two clubs, Al Ahly youth with silver medals, and Sharjah with gold medals and the Sixth Edition Cup.

The start of the match came close, with a tie imposed for the first ten minutes, before Sharjah gradually moved away from the difference and ended the first half with a score of "18-12".

Al-Ahly youth tried to return with the start of the second half, but Sharjah quickly managed to remedy the matter, and its players succeeded in returning by the difference and deciding the result of the match "32-27", and winning the title.

Sharjah owes the title and win the final to the brilliance of its Tunisian professional, Misbah Al-Sanea, and the Egyptian Mahmoud Fayet, who is registered in the birth category, with 11 goals and eight goals, respectively.

• Sharjah will compete in the "Emirati-Bahraini Super" on the 29th of this month.
