The Egyptian Premier League football summit between Al-Ahly and Zamalek will be held in the 14th and 31st rounds, after the draw for the 2022-2023 season was drawn on Sunday, while the season will start on October 18.
Zamalek begins defending its title against Smouha, while Al-Ahly, the historical champion of the competition, collides with Ismaili in the first round.
The draw for the league for the current season 2022-2023 was held in a hotel in Cairo, and the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association honored Mahmoud Al-Khatib, president of Al-Ahly Club, as one of the symbols and top scorer of the league.
The award was received by Adly Al-Qaei, president of Al-Ahly Football Company, on behalf of Al-Khatib, one of the tournament's historical scorers.
The association said on its Facebook page that the tournament will start on October 18 with matches in the first week.
Six thousand fans were allowed for each team in the match, instead of five thousand last season.
The League is considering holding matches every three or four days to overcome the lack of time due to the large number of international breaks during the season.
The Al-Ahly and Pyramids match will be held in the 11th round, while the defending champions Zamalek will meet their runner-up Pyramids in the third round.
