After the next bankruptcy of VfL Wolfsburg, captain Maximilian Arnold reacted annoyed to the ongoing debate about the expulsion of former national soccer player Max Kruse.

"It's just as if VfL Wolfsburg only consisted of Max Kruse," he said after the 0: 2 (0: 0) of the Bundesliga club at Union Berlin.

"Everyone knows about the qualities of Max Kruse," said Arnold: "Everyone also knows about the qualities that Max Kruse doesn't have." He didn't judge coach Niko Kovac's decision.

"We should tone down the issue a bit," demanded the midfielder.

"Football is work"

After the fourth loss of the season in the seventh game and the fall in 17th place, Kovac didn't want to know about a possible relegation battle.

Nevertheless, he put his finger in the wound.

"We're just not ready to show the basics that you need in football," said the coach.

From leaders Union you can "cut a slice".

According to Kovac, his team must have a different attitude.

"Football is not just heel, tip, one, two, three.

Football is work," he said.

Jordan Siebatcheu (54th) and Sheraldo Becker (77th) abruptly stopped the Wolves' mini upward trend after the 1-0 win against Eintracht Frankfurt with their goals.

The VfL disappointed especially in the second half.
