Racism continues to shake Spanish football.

Atlético Madrid fans compared Real Madrid striker Vinicius to a "monkey" during the Madrid derby won by Merengue on Sunday night (1-2).

Several videos have been posted on social media in which Atlético supporters can be heard singing chants of "Eres un mono, Vinicius eres un mono", which translates to "he's a monkey, Vinicius is a monkey ".

These chants took place before the match in front of the Cívitas Metropolitano, but also inside, during the match.

And it would seem that a “major part” of the stadium sang them, according to the testimony of several journalists on the spot.
