Gothenburg were superjumbos in the SDHL last season and did not win a single game in 36 attempts in the regular season, but qualified for the top flight after beating Skellefteå.

It was also a turbulent season that was marred by fights and player defections.

Now they have made a comeback and aim to reach the playoffs.

Only two players remain from last year's squad.

But the team had a nightmare start to this year's season.

The opener against Modo was only 53 seconds old when Jaycee Magwood opened the scoring.

Before six minutes were played the score was 2-0 after Magwood found superstar Jennifer Wakefield.

In the span of 41 seconds in the second period, Modo went from 2-0 to 4-0 and the final score was a whopping 6-0.

Tough start for Gothenburg, but all the better for Modo, who are tipped to shadow the top teams in the SDHL this season.
