Saif bin Zayed meets the championship-winning Baniyas Jiu-Jitsu team and a number of sports teams at the club
Lieutenant-General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and President of the Baniyas Sports and Cultural Club, congratulated the club's jiu-jitsu team that won the President's Cup and the Vice President's Cup for the current year and the players' achievements in international forums.
His Highness urged the jiu-jitsu champions to continue achieving achievements and to represent the club and the state in the best local and international competitions and championships, inspired by the vision of the wise leadership and its support.
This came during his visit to the Baniyas Cultural Club, in the presence of Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Chairman of Baniyas Sports and Cultural Club, Brigadier Nasser Khadem Al Kaabi, Vice President and a number of club officials.
During the visit, His Highness was keen to talk with the players of the sports teams, attend part of the training, and take group photos with the teams, calling on the players and administrators to make more efforts to contribute to supporting the efforts to develop sports in the country, and to achieve more local, regional and global achievements.
His Highness said in his speech with sports teams of different age groups, male and female, that the achieved championships are expensive because of the dear names that represent the pride of all Emiratis, and what these players achieved in this short period is not easy, but it is not difficult for the champions. In advance, His Highness thanked everyone for their spirit. Positivity and representing the UAE in a manner befitting its good reputation.
His Highness added that the results achieved locally are wonderful, but the most important thing is to ensure honorable representation globally, and excel in international arenas, with the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, "may God protect him", which urges Emiratis to represent honorable exemplary in international forums.
His Highness stressed that achieving achievements requires effort and determination, but the most important thing is to sustain and preserve the successes by doubling efforts and working in a team spirit.
