Thanks to Dejan Ljubicic's two goals, 1. FC Köln secured their first win in the Conference League.
A week after the 1-1 draw at OGC Nice, the Bundesliga club won their home game against Czech cup winners FC Slovácko 4-2 (2-0) on Thursday evening.
Ljubicic scored a penalty kick in the 65th minute to make it 3:2 and shortly afterwards to make it 4:2 (79th).
Sargis Adamyan (11th minute) and Florian Dietz put the hosts in front after a corner in front of 47,700 spectators.
After the break, Jan Kalabiska (49') and Milan Petrzela (52') scored for the Czechs.
The success gave Cologne a good starting position in Group D.
