Al-Ahly and Zamalek had begun their career by defeating Sporting, who had become out of competition for the title, which is now confined between the two giants of Egyptian handball, as the rules of the super matches stipulate that one of the two parties to the match will win, which means that the confrontation of Zamalek and Al-Ahly and if its original time ends in a draw. It will be extended for two additional periods of 5 minutes each, with a penalty shoot-out later resorting to penalty kicks in the event of a tie.
