The Hyundai team is in a shoal at the moment.

Fine results in Finland and Belgium were followed up by a triple victory in the Akropolis rally as Thierry Neuville won, Ott Tänak finished second and Dani Sordo drove into third place.

The team's fourth driver, the Swede Oliver Solberg, followed this weekend's competition from home, but in just over two weeks he will be back on the starting line when the New Zealand rally will be decided.

- New Zealand is an incredibly difficult competition, a legendary competition that has been run for many years before, even though it was a long time ago, I think it can hopefully help me, says Solberg, who believes that he benefits from the fact that the New Zealand rally had a break and only settled twice since 2012.

In addition, the course has been redrawn.

- It's new "notes" and it usually helps me a lot, I often make strong rallies when there are these types of competitions.

I think starting as far back as I do can be an advantage as well.

I think all the conditions are there to make a good competition.

The confidence is quite okay, it was only one race in Belgium but it is important to build on that, says Solberg, who shares the team's third car with the Spaniard Dani Sordo.

How it will look next season remains to be seen.

- I wonder that too, but Sordo has done fantastically well.

We are at two completely different places in our careers so it is not possible to compare, but I have shown good speed and some good results so I think they have faith in me and see that the potential is there, we just have to work on, drive more and test more, then we'll see next year, but I think it looks good for the future, says Solberg.
