Jenny Rissveds missed the WC in mountain biking in France due to long-term cold problems.

Instead, she hoped to participate at the World Road Championships in Australia.

But now it is clear that she will miss that championship as well.

- Jenny Rissveds declines the WC because of a cold that won't go away.

She still has a cold and unfortunately won't be able to ride the WC, says the main responsible association captain Lucas Persson on the Swedish Cycling Association's website.

SM-sixa replaces

It was already clear that Emilia Fahlin will miss the championship due to an injured hand.

Replacing Rissveds is Caroline Andersson.

She was sixth in the SM's line race, and 49th in Vårgårda's World Tour race.

- It's a young, promising cyclist who gets the chance and participates a little to see and learn but also to see how far he can go in the U23 class, says Lucas Persson.

Even on the men's side, the national team has had a dropout.

This when Lucas Eriksson chose to decline.
