Iga Swiateks is dominating tennis on the women's side.
Now the 21-year-old is chasing his first title in the US Open.
The shape seems to be good.
Swiatek did lose the first set against unseeded German Jule Niemier on Monday, but then she woke up.
The star won 6–4 in the second set and then decided the match 6–0.
It is the 19th (!) time this season that she wins a set 6–0.
- I am proud of myself, that I keep the hope up (after the first set).
Jule played really well and I had to work hard, she says afterwards.
On Wednesday, Swiatek will face eighth-ranked American Jessica Pegula in the quarterfinals.
