Frida Karlsson has previously told us that she was a skilled soccer player in her younger days.

Among other things, she was taken out to an elite camp where only the country's best players in her cohort get the chance to show off, but as the successes on the ski tracks became more and more, she was finally forced to give up soccer to focus wholeheartedly on her skiing career.

But today she made a comeback, in front of 90 spectators at Brovalla IP in Älandsbro, when the parent association Remsle played the series final in Division 3 Ångermanland's playoff series.

- The association needed support and a victory, writes Frida's mother Mia Karlsson in an SMS to SVT Sport.

"She's good"

Frida started the match on the bench while her sisters Hannah, 13, and Fanny, 25, played from the start.

Five minutes into the second half, however, it was time for Frida to make an entrance on the right wing.

There were no goals or assists, but she was responsible for a good effort in the match, which Remsle won 2–0.

- She's good.

She probably could have been really good at soccer too, says Remsle's coach Anders Törnlund to SVT Sport.

Does she usually come along to play?

- No, it was the first match.

We were a bit thin with people and she was playful.

She has played soccer before and thinks it's fun, so she took part in a training session and then she got to play in the match.

With the three-pointer, Remsle has secured a solid grip on first place in the table with three games left to play.

The winner of the series moves up to Division 2.
