The Norwegian Astrid Öyre Slind was completely superior when halfway into the 54 km long race, she had gained a lead of almost five minutes.

She then crossed the finish line first of all and had to wait over 12 minutes before she got to see the nearest competitor cross the finish line.

Frida Karlsson did not have much to object to.

She had problems with the pole several times during the race and the 23-year-old finished fifth – a full 14 minutes and 50 seconds behind Öyre Slind.

The best Swede was Ida Dahl with her fourth place.

Lotta Udnes Weng and Anne Kjersti Kalvå finished second and third respectively.
