Färjestad has lost both Gustav Rydahl and Jacob de la Rose.

Thus, there have been gaps to fill in the squad.

Now they are doing just that by signing the Canadian Remi Elie on a one-year contract.

- Elie possesses many of the qualities that we lost when Gustav and Jacob left us.

He is a good combination of power and skill and has experience in both the NHL, and has been a top player in the AHL in recent years.

We hope that he can complement the forward crew we have in a good way, says Wallin.

Last season, Elie played one game in the NHL for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

In total, he has played 107 games in the NHL.
