Team Hasselborg, which consists of Anna Hasselborg, Sara McManus, Agnes Knochenhauer, Sofia Mabergs and Johanna Heldin, has been working together with coach Wayne Middaugh for the past few years.

Together, they have won, among other things, six championship medals - but now it is time for a change.

Middaugh's time as coach is over and as a replacement, the team has brought in Scotland's gold coach from the Olympics in Beijing, Kristian Lindström.

- We are committed to getting Kristian home to Sweden.

It feels like a fantastic opportunity for us to work with a coach at home in Sweden.

Kristian has amassed a wealth of experience and great success during his years leading Scotland.

We know that he will contribute a lot to prepare us for the big competitions of the season, says Anna Hasselborg in a press release.

With the support of the SOK and the Swedish Curling Association, team Hasselborg has been given the opportunity to offer Lindström the job as coach.

- After three years in Scotland as coach for the women's national team, I felt it was the right time for me to move back home to Sweden.

The 2021-2022 season was very successful for us with European and Olympic gold but I didn't have the motivation to start another Olympic cycle in Scotland.

Getting the opportunity to work with team Hasselborg, one of the world's best teams, was a chance I couldn't refuse, says Lindström, who already has a WC gold, a WC silver and two EC golds on the men's side as a player in team Edin.
