Qualifying in the semi-finals of the WC 2015, 2019 and EC 2017.

But now the heavy streak is finally broken.

After the 4-0 victory over Sweden, they are in the final at Wembley.

One player who was involved during the heavy semi-final losses is 30-year-old Lucy Bronze.

Who scored the 2-0 goal against Sweden.

- I have been one of the players who started in the three previous semi-finals, and have been disappointed each time, so it is nice to finally win.

And the way we do it, by minute 80 it was basically decided.

We scored our goals against a very good Sweden, she says afterwards.

"Biggest match in European football history"

She tells SVT Sport about the English national team's journey.

- I think it feels like everything is going our way right now.

I have played in many previous tournaments where players have been injured or suspended.

Now we have been lucky with us that players have performed when it matters, scored goals and made important saves.

All the players are in a good place and that is the reason why we are in the final, says Bronze to SVT Sport.

The final will be played at classic Wembley.

A match that, according to Bronze, will go down in history.

- There are no words that can describe it.

I think this final will be the best game ever played in football Europe.

Not just because England are playing in it but because the home team are playing at home in a venue like Wembley, it's another level.

Either Germany or France await in the final.
