It was an eventful fourth stage of the Tour de France Femmes on the road between Troyes and Bar-sur-Aube.

With several narrow gravel sections, it was an extra special stage.

After about ten miles Marlen Reusser attacked and won by 1.24 ahead of second Evita Muzic and third Alena Amialiusik.

However, the overall lead still belongs to the sovereign Marianne Vos, 16 seconds ahead of Silvia Persico.

Reusser was pleased afterwards:

- We had the plan to make it a tough stage and not let it calm down.

Fortunately, I was able to walk away and win, she says.

Borgström 4.44 behind with half the tour left

Julia Borgström is Sweden's participant in the first edition of the Tour de France Femmes.

After a slightly worse day in terms of placement, the 21-year-old fell from 20th to 32nd place in the fight for the yellow leader's jersey.

The distance up to Vos is 4 minutes and 44 seconds and she has about two and a half minutes to run into the top ten.

In recent stages, F1 star Valtteri Bottas has been seen assisting girlfriend Tiffany Cromwell and riding in her team's companion car.

On Instagram, the Finn, with ten Formula 1 wins to his credit, showed, among other things, how he acted as a waterman to Cromwell during the third stage.

On Friday, the fifth stage runs between Bar-le-Duc and Saint-Dié-de-Vosges.
