Japan won the first bronze medal in this event at the women's saber team of the World Fencing Championships in Cairo, Egypt.

In the semi-finals, he lost to France, which ranked first in the world, by two points, but in the third-place playoff, he defeated Spain 45-43 and won the bronze medal.



According to the Federation of Japan Fencing, Japan is the first to win a medal in this event through the Olympics and World Championships.
